After the people's Government of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province submitted the "letter on application for reevaluation of" China Sewing equipment manufacturing capital "to China Light Industry Federation and China Sewing Machinery Association, and after research and approval, according to the" management measures for co construction of China's light industry characteristic regions and industrial clusters (revised edition) "and" suggestions on co construction of light industry clusters " Notice "and" China Sewing machinery industry characteristics regional honor title management method "and other guidance.


The review group consulted the re evaluation application materials, listened to the report of Xie Hongfang, deputy director of Taizhou Economic and Information Bureau of Zhejiang Province, on the development of China's sewing equipment manufacturing city, and had a seat talk and exchange with relevant departments of Taizhou, leaders of Taizhou sewing equipment industry association and representatives of some backbone enterprises. On the spot, we also inspected key enterprises such as Jack shares, Zhejiang xinshunfa, Zhejiang Zhensheng, etc.


Through the comprehensive evaluation, the evaluation group believes that Taizhou Municipal government has always regarded sewing equipment as one of the pillar industries of local economic development, actively built the target of 100 billion yuan industrial cluster of sewing equipment industry, set up a special supervision organization, and led the preparation of Taizhou sewing equipment industry development plan (2019-2025), so as to continuously promote the transformation and upgrading of sewing equipment industry and make it bigger and stronger . In recent years, Taizhou sewing equipment industry has accelerated high-quality development, made continuous efforts in scientific and technological innovation, achieved remarkable results in structural adjustment, and established a complete industrial system and industrial chain for manufacturing and selling spare parts and complete machines. It has become the wind vane for the development of China's and even the global sewing equipment industry, and plays an important role in the world.


The evaluation group assessed that "Taizhou, the capital of sewing equipment manufacturing in China" met the requirements of "management measures for co construction of regions with Chinese light industry characteristics and industrial clusters (Revised Version)" and "management measures for honorary titles of regions with Chinese sewing machinery industry characteristics", and agreed to pass the re evaluation. It is suggested that China Light Industry Federation and China Sewing Machinery Association continue to award Taizhou the honorary title of "Taizhou, the capital of China Sewing equipment manufacturing".





On behalf of the review group, Yang Xiaojing, leader of the group, put forward five suggestions for the follow-up development of Taizhou sewing machine industry: firstly, it is suggested that Taizhou competent departments should strengthen the construction of industrial public service platform and promote the high-quality development of cluster construction. Secondly, Taizhou sewing equipment industry association should play an important role as a link to strengthen the guidance and management of cluster development. Third, strengthen the construction of supply chain system and deepen the cooperation of industrial chain. Fourth, enhance the quality of cluster products and strive to create international famous brands. Fifth, standardize the market operation behavior and reshape the new order of healthy development of the market. It is hoped that under the promotion and guidance of the government, Taizhou Industrial cluster will continue to enhance the popularity and reputation of "Taizhou sewing equipment" and open a new chapter of development.
